Taking control as one of the residents opf our brand new Reggae Roots stage is the mighty Tayo.
A familiar face on the UK breaks scene, heavily influencing the sound of nu-skool breaks in the late nineties he’s gone on to become a pioneer of all things breakbeat and dubwise.
He’s also a familiar face around these parts too, a paid up member of the Bestival family his appearance on any stage at the festival is always a cause for celebration.
His reputation as a DJ has taken in playing every breakbeat dance floor worth playing along with being the co-founder and resident of Basement Jaxx’s seminal Rooty night in London and with his Mob record label he’s given helping hands to the likes of Stanton Warriors and the Plump DJ’s. If breaks, dubstep and electro are your thing this man is simply unmissable.
