The King’s Parade formed in late 2012 after a spot as the house band on a hawaiian cruise liner got them enough cash to move to London.
The 4 piece blend Pop with Detroit soul-inspired vocals and bluesy arrangements, with frontman Olly Corpe drawing on great soul vocalists such as Bill Withers, Chet Faker and Lianne La Havas.
Following in the footsteps of artists such as Matt Corby and To Kill A King, the band have recently secured a residency at Ronnie Scott’s, and have supported JJ Grey and MOFRO on their tours around Germany (April and July 2014).
After shows at The Great Escape, Cornbury and Burg Herzberg Festival, the band look forward to a busy schedule this summer, playing at Bestival, Brownstock and the Reeperbahn festival, as well as setting off on their own headline tour in Germany this September.
“An incredibly accomplished sound worthy of a far wider audience” (Tom Robinson)
